Sending ACT Scores

Do you really have to pay $12 for each ACT score report to be sent to a college? Is there any way around that fee besides low income fee waivers? That seems pretty expensive especially if you are planning to apply to multiple colleges. Cant my school just send the scores for free since they already have them?

It depends upon which schools you are applying. California UC’s and CSU’s only require you send a copy of the ACT to one school and it shared with the others so, only 2 report fees.

Welcome to the college application game where your wallet (or your parent’s wallet, more likely) is an object to be emptied and milked to the last dollar, or at least it seems.

Depending on where you apply, some will require you to send an official score while others will accept scores on your high school transcript.
