Sending an extra recommendation letter?

<p>Should I send an extra recommendation letter? I'm sending a letter to inform them of a few new things that have happened since I submitted the common app. I've been deferred.</p>

<p>I know when you submit the common app, all they require is 1 teacher and 1 counselor. Would they accept the other one if it is sent with my midyear grades?</p>
