<p>If you are applying for 2013-2014 admission, filing FAFSA starts on 1/1/2013. You can file CSS with estimated 2012 tax information.</p>
<p>The Profile for the 2013-2014 school year should be up and running for completion and submission in October. Yes…you would need to use good estimates based on year to date pay stubs when completing it.</p>
<p>The FAFSA isn’t available for filing until January 1.</p>
<p>The most important thing to do is adhere to your colleges’ deadlines. If you are applying ED or EA, you might have an early priority deadline that could be as early as November 1.</p>
<p>If you are applying regular decision, there is no advantage to sending the Profile in earlier than January when you are also able to complete the FAFSA…in my opinion.</p>
