Would it be okay to send in an application for Columbia early decision about 2-3 weeks before its deadline? Or is it better to send it in as early as possible? Does it make a big difference whether or not someone sends in an application earlier to another applicant?

doesn’t make any difference. i’d wait until close til the deadline so you don’t have any regrets about your application, because once you send it, you can’t take it back. honestly, it makes no difference whatsoever how late or early you turn it in as long as it meets the deadline. i turned mine in the last day

o okay thanks. just making sure because some other people that get rejected always complain about how late they finished their application.

yeah, that’s just them making excuses lol

Haha, I turned mine in an hour before the deadline…news is even if you turn it in a few days late, it will NOT jeopardize you haha (supposedly), but yeah, ideally I would just turn it in a few days before or the week that its due. GL

lol thanks. congrats to both of u for getting into columbia!

Two to three weeks before the deadline is very early! In fact, I’d recommend that you not submit your application until a few days before the deadline, so that you have time to carefully look over it, keep it in the back of your mind for a little bit, and then polish it. Obviously don’t submit it late (even if what collegeftw says is true), but don’t rush it either. Remember that when you hand it in your application has NO effect on when it’s read, provided, of course, that it’s not handed in late.
