Sending in something unique for waitlist

<p>I was recently waitlisted at Rice, and I really want to set myself apart and improve my chances. My major is Computer Science and through my high school years I have created these video games that have done well in some competitions. They are pretty creative and they are basically my pride and joy, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to perhaps send the adcoms a disc with these games on it, explaining my passion and why I love programming. I also know that it might come off as weird or something, and they might be too busy to even play them.</p>

<p>It’s worth a try. Absolutely they will be too busy to play them, but they might look at them.</p>

<p>More importantly you need to spin how those video games (or your ability to make them) will benefit Rice… what contributions you will make. </p>

<p>Also it is important for you to indicate anything new in your life since applying. What makes your app different than it was before?</p>
