^ i was just looking that up. They don’t release it for individual colleges, but I think theater only accepts 100 students (50F/50M).
WCAS is obviously the largest so there’s more variety there.
I hope that ED is more forgiving in certain respects (like ACT score)!

But this week will be wrought with mental self-inflicted torture! I’ve reread my application a gajillion times…!

Medill is usually around 10 to 15 percent, but the number of applicants applying has been steadily declining by a few points annually over the past few years.

I’m wondering if the drop in the number of medillians is because of the supposed decline and imminent death of print journalism. Anyone got a take on that?

I’m from New York
I was gonna apply to the School of Communications, but then I heard that it was hard to get into so I ended up applying to WCAS as an English major (any other bookworms on the thread?)

cclolzftw- What do u have to do for the assignment?

I didn’t take it personally. I was just saying that my essay pretty much answers that question.

@melflax22

I just need to know about how you think social networking has transformed the college admissions process. Hit me up on PM when you have a chance.

And Jay-Z > Lil’ Wayne, but let’s ****ing focus on Chicago since this is the Northwestern forum.

LUPE FIASCO > KANYE WEST
Enemy of the State is easily the best mixtape of the year. Nuff said.

Anyone know the admit rate for WCAS? I don’t think I’ll be able to concentrate at all this week. I’m going to be slightly depressed if I don’t get in - which is a pretty big chance…my ACT score is pretty bad…am I the only one here from the west coast??

I’m from Missouri. Applied to Communications - I didn’t hear much about my particular major (RTVF) being especially hard to get into versus all of the others. I would imagine the Communications department has a lowered acceptance rate due to their extremely limiting theatre major.

@ cclolzftw- i’m from good ol’ baltimore county. i serve as the county rep on the school board there HOLLA

if we’re gonna talk bout chicago bands i’m just gonna put it out there that I love me some Smashing Pumpkins. Along with Kanye (I excuse him for the Taylor Swift incident). but whateva

and i didn’t hear that Medill had that low an admit rate but i could be wrong. I was told on a chance forum that a 600 in math dooms me, but hopefully not. I hope medill’s looking for credentials and stuff contributed in the field, rather than one part of one standardized test that was otherwise fine.

furthemore, I love Lady Gaga and she is making the college applications process so much better.

I’m from Illinois too! ( Which probably isn’t going to work to my advantage because there are so many applicants form Illinois :[[ ). What part are you from? Southside of Chitown right here.

I’ll admit I’ve been creeping on this thread too to see if anyone found out yet, even thought I know it prob won’t come out till the end of the week, if that.

I’ve been checking my email on my phone all the time @ school this past week to wait for the email. I am going to have a hard time sitting still in school and sleeping at night.

This basically defines how the rest of my school year is going to go.

I’m actually originally from new York, but moved to the Chicago 'burbs a couple months ago.
This decision can mean a hellish wait till April or a joyous laid back rest of the year.

I’m from Ohio and planning to major in physics(does that help?)

This is about to be the longest week ever, I can’t stop thing about getting in or getting rejected! Do I wear my Northwestern shirt this week? Will that jinx it? or will this be my last chance to wear it before getting rejected Maybe at night?

Anyways… does anyone have any inkling of what time a decision could be posted? I can’t keep freaking out at every e-mail.
