So is there a way to find out before receiving the letter?

Nope. Guess we all just wait. Sorry again for the post. My mind has been clouded and I’m even more anxious than you. If accepted, I start classes in 28 days!

^lucky…

^^ SUPER lucky…

if this is incorrect don’t kill me but didn’t they also send out e-mails last year and the year before?

K, I called and the seemingly stressed Adcom told me “I don’t really know, but by the 15th”
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFlip. This is redonkulous!

I bet they’re fielding TONS of questions about RD admissions right now - not to mention the thousand or so other ED applicants who might be calling them. It doesn’t surprise me that she was stressed. xDI’m guessing that at this point, calling them might just make our wait harder…it won’t change anything about when they actually tell us. Now it’s just a waiting game.

@ Glenny-I was at that vampire weekend concert in the rain. It was awesome!

and does anybody know the dates ED decisions were released the past few years for NU?

just got an email titled “application” from NorthEASTern… it made my heart JUMP. those bas tards. anyways, whats the likelihood of NU taking two kids from the same school ED? what if those two were the only ones from their school to apply ED to NU?

@asdfasdf: SERIOUSLY?! That’s awesome, that was quite that day…

@freightrain: I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It’s definitely likely. It’s happened to my school last year with 2 Brownites, 2 Georgetownians and 2 Yalites.

@freightrain: it really depends on your school. How big is it? My grade has 800 kids, and last year there was around 25 harvard kids…

freightrain- that happened to me too! I had to unsubscribe from Northeastern b/c they kept sending me e-mails and each time I got an e-mail from them i thought, for a second, that it was Northwestern and it was driving me insane

cclolzftw- have you got any of my answers? My computer won’t let me send the last one cause it keeps saying that your mailbox is full

so is anyone else losing sleep over this issue? or is that just me?
i think my friends are actually going to stop talking to me by the end of this week because i won’t stop freaking out about getting accepted/getting rejected.

@melfax22

I just cleared some messages to make space for your answers. Thanks.

@FJZhou
It’s about 500 in my class. do schools group the apps by HS, or is it possible that they wont even notice that they accept/reject kids from the same school?

oh… can we be waitlisted???

@susieliu9: Just about everyone I know that ED/EA somewhere are freaking out. Personally, I spend about 2 hours per day thinking about Northwestern and college stuff. It’s not healthy, and it definitely wastes time, but I can’t help it.

I cannot wait for the results to come. However at the same time I don’t want it to come. I have come to the conclusion that life sucks a lot.

True… I def spend more time thinking about NU than school or anything. I have at least one dream pertaining to NU EVERYDAY. It’s insane

Haha. I love how I check this thread always hoping there’s a new development when it’s really just another person talking about how anxious they are.

There won’t be much real action here til bout thursday or friday
