Hi everyone, I need to send off my SAT Subject Test scores soon but I’m very unsure of which ones to send, so I would appreciate any advice. For reference, these scores are going to Stanford and Columbia. Stanford recommends Subject Tests, but since they’re not required they allow score choice on them, and I need to send at least 2 to Columbia.
Here is what I have:
Bio M - 800
Bio E - 730
Math II - 720
Chemistry - 720
I know that I’m sending my Bio M for sure, but I was wondering if it’s bad to send both M and E, especially since I did considerably worse on E. And then I know that my Math II and Chemistry definitely aren’t the highest, but this is what I have to work with.
So basically, I’m just wondering what 2 I should send to both schools, or if I should send 3, or if I should even just send them all? What would be the best course of action at this point? THANK YOU in advance for any help–I appreciate it tremendously!!
I would send bio M, bio E, and chem personally, unless you’re applying to engineering and are required to submit math ii
Did you take the ACT? If so, what is your composite?
@XCjunior2016, I’m not applying to engineering so yeah you’re right, I don’t need the math in there too. Thank you!
@ayyyyyyy Yes, I took the ACT and got a 35 composite, so I will be sending that to Columbia. I believe that Columbia doesn’t require any additional Subject Tests if I submit my ACT, but they still recommend submitting any in your field of interest. So would I be better off sending none or maybe just the Bio M to Columbia?
You’re in the same situation as me, except I got 700s on both Bio and Math 2
I didn’t send in my subject tests to Columbia but did for Stanford.
@ayyyyyyy Oh alright, so we are in pretty similar situations! So as for Stanford, what would you do in my case? Which ones do you think I should go with?
Columbia says if you send in your ACT, then they’ll “consider” your subject tests, so they won’t matter. As for Stanford, just send in your 800 Bio and 720 Chem because based on percentiles, a 720 on chem is higher than a 720 on math 2 and since you’re not applying as an engineer major.
@ayyyyyyy Alright, thank you!
