Sending Scores Early

Hi.

As many of you here, I took the SAT yesterday. I've also started working on my application for UC.

The SAT allows us to send 4 official score reports for free until October 14th, and I would like to take advantage of that. But will the university accept the score if it arrives before the application submission date (November 1~30)? Will they look at the score and keep it? Or will they not since it was handed in before the deadline even begins?

I will be taking the SAT again in December but since there is no guarantee I would get a higher score there so I want to send the score from this yesterday as well.

Thank you for your help.

You can send them your scores early, it doesn’t matter. Even when you send them with your application, all they do is keep it in their database and match it to your application when they come to look at it, it makes no difference. You could’ve sent them your scores last year and they’d still have it and match it. The deadline is just when you have to submit your application, not your scores.

Great. Thank you for the clarification.
