Senior failing AP Calculus AB, what should I do to avoid getting admission taken away

I have about a 60 in AP Calc AB. We just took a test today (optimization - anyone who has taken calc knows it is pure hell), and to say that I think I failed it would be a complete understandment. I've always been a A, B student, it's just that this class has really taken its toll. I'm afraid that if I don't bring my grade up, I'll get my admission taken away after I have to report 1st semester grades.

I'm majoring in journalism, but I took AP Calc this year because I was leaning towards either engineering or architecture at the time of class selection last year. I know that I could just stick it out and get a tutor, but I don't know how much that would actually help. Should I try and drop the class for 2nd semester? Is that even possible? Should I just study more and get a tutor?
