So I was planning to take AP Physics and AP Economics my senior year, but unfortunately they are offered on the same period. I was wondering if it is possible to take 5 classes with a senior open while taking Economics online at a community college. And if so, would it look bad? Or would it be better for me to only take 3 APs with 6 classes instead of 3 APs with the college class and 5 classes in school?

The only other AP I would be interested in is AP Psychology, but I'm afraid that I would crack from taking that and the other 3. Thanks!

No it would not look bad if you decided to self study or take the AP at a CC. Take the one you will think will be the most beneficial to you in school (based on future major considerations, ect) and you can consider taking the other outside of school. Econ and psych are usually considered electives, so I think it would be more beneficial for you to take physics, but it depends on your own strengths/schedules

Claiming to self-study may not pass the sniff test while enrollment at a CC can be verified, so if you’re going this route, definitely do the CC alternative.

Or since I didn’t do as well as I would’ve liked in Honors Chem, would you suggest that I take Chemistry at the CC first semester to kind of redeem myself, and then take the online Econ class 2nd semester since economics is required at my school?

Or take the Chem class first semester at the CC and take normal econ (1 semester) and then have a normal 6 period schedule second semester? My schedule in this case would be:

1st sem
AP Calc BC
AP Physics
AP Stats
Econ
Yearbook
CC Chemistry class

2nd sem
BC
Physics
Stats
Psychology
Yearbook
Sociology or something
