Everyone else have them/lookin forward to them?

The national day (for a number of schools) is Monday, February 5th, 2007. At least that's the day for Facebookies.

My school stopped the tradition in 2004. We suffer severe consequences. I guess I won't be skipping this year.

we skip the monday after prom

I honestly have no idea. :p I probably won't skip. I've never skipped a class before and most of my friends aren't seniors, so I'd just be really bored and missing class. :p

Ours is tomorrow. But there will probably be another in the spring and another near the end of school.

Actually almost everyday is a senior ditch day because hardly any seniors go to class.

we need to make an official one for CC

senior skip day at my school is in june and everyone goes to amusement parks..all the teachers know about it and they even make jokes about how they wish they could go with us :)

The teachers generally know about ours, too, so the schedule tests around them (usually). I think ours was going to be February 5, as well, but everyone goes to the beach, so we're going to have it in May sometime, just before Prom.

We skip the monday after prom as well...they threaten us with severe consequences every year, but when 500 of 566 kids skip class...what are they going to do?

Tomorrow is a national holiday. lol. There's no school to skip.

I thought it was always the Monday after prom.

No one skips on "skip days." Since "skip days" tend to be towards the end of the year when AP tests are scheduled, a lot of seniors who take multiple APs can't afford to skip a class.

And the school has issued dire warnings against skipping. The teachers don't recognize it. And only a small number of people know when there are "skip days," since they don't follow any schedule.

Our teachers know when ours is, and some offer lots of extra credit to kids who show up.

monday is our senior cut day cause then we have a 6 day weekend :), we will probably have more in the spring lol

The "official" senior skip days at my school are the day before Thanksgiving holidays and then another the day before spring break, but most people only skip the first semester because you can get exempt from exams second semester if you don't have a lot of absences.

Some teachers are cool about it and schedule things like watching a video or playing Twister, and then you have the old fart teachers who schedule tests.

We do not have a senior skip day because our school is filled with goody goodies.

Us seniors this year have been cutting a lot. We don't organize specific skip days(because i'm my experience they never work), but people just generally skip a day a week. I'm known for cutting wendesdays(did it in junior year), and my teachers all knew it, still had a 90 average. This year it's been better, i've only cut 5 times because my APs are a bit harder.

After prom though, the seniors don't go to school anymore. Most of June is taken off.

Ours is sometime in April or May.

I guess our school is unique. For the Class of 2007 any Friday that ends in a seven (7, 27, etc) is Senior Skip Day so we have three. The teachers hate it though and have tests and stuff on senior skip days. Class of 08 is lucky- under my school's system they have like 5 senior skip days.

ours is the monday after prom. people dont make a big fuss about, its not like the school is empty except for freshman, sophomores, and juniors. its not a big deal
