Senior Year Couse Scheduling Advice

Hello, I’m looking for some advice on choosing my senior year courses. For context, I’m very interested in pursuing a STEM major (probably math or physics) in college, but I also love learning about literature and the humanities. Next year, I’d like to strike that balance of challenging myself but also taking time for my mental well-being.

Current courses:

APUSH
AP Lang
AP Calc BC
AP CSA
AP Physics 1
Dual-enrollment Spanish IV

Future schedule:

AP Literature
AP Physics C (both e&m and mech)
AP Chemistry
Dual-enrollment Multivariable w linear algebra and Diff Eq w linear algebra (a semester each)

AP Comparative Gov?
AP Macroeconomics?

I need government and economics credits to graduate, but I think it may be overwhelming to take the AP versions of both. The regular versions of the courses are semester-long (instead of year-long like the AP versions). I’d like some info about the courseload for AP Comp Gov and AP economics.

Thank you very much!

Do you think you can manage this load?

How well do you like Physics 1 and Calculus this year? If you don’t find them easy, Physics C & multivariate calculus will take a lot of hard work.

Why do you want to take AP Chemistry?

You also need to understand that you will have to spend a lot of time working on college applications in the fall semester of your senior year.

Physics and calculus are my favorite subjects, and I receive As in them with relative ease.

I’d like to take AP Chemistry because I want to learn about chemistry before entering college, and I’m very interested in the sciences.

I’m just ambivalent about taking AP Econ and/or AP gov.
