i was accepted ED, and on my senior year schedule i wrote that i was gona be a TA for both semesters, but im actually jus gonna do it first semester.... do i have to notify JHU or anything

Yes. You must notify us of any change to your senior schedule. Typically such notifications will accompany the mid-year report.

so i dont need to send in an email or a letter telling the admissinos office about my change of sched right, you guys will just see it in my midyear report

i think he meant your notification needs to go w/ your counselor's midyear report

If there is a schedule change on your mid-year report, than you need to send a note long explaining the change.

Hi admissionsdaniel, i have a question about a sched change. For my ED application i wrote that I would be taking AP physics 2nd semester. however, after i sent in my app, my guidance counselor said she made a mistake and there was a scheduling conflict and she could not fit an AP physics class into my 2nd semester schedule. But I will be able to take standard physics class so that will be on my midyear report with my other class schedules. My question is whether an AP to standard class change is significant enough to include a separate letter? if so, should my counselor write the notification or should I? (she takes full responsibility in mistakenly scheduling me for a second level AP physics class, while a 1st level AP physics class is a prerequisite. she later noticed this and told me there was no more room to fit a 1st level AP physics class, and I would have to do standard instead). How serious is this schedule conflict if I was accepted ED? Thanks so much for the response!

after looking through cc and forums, it is quite funny how jhu is one of the few in which sooo many students are asking about what is the lowest gpa one can get to retain ed admission and about dropping classes lol, especially when their schedule wasn;t even that hard in the first place =/
edit: i'm starting to get an idea why there are so many complaints regarding jhu's policies on rec letters and etc and why such complaints towards other schools rarely exist lol

from gym first semester , I changed to social studies elective , Do I still have to notify them. Its a scheduling conflict

Let me try to solve this...

...if your schedule has changed from what you originally had in your application you need to notify us. If you changes classes, drop classes, or anything else changes from the academic information you initially presented in your application then you need to send an update.

If you and your counselor feel an explanation is necessary then I suggest including a quick note detailing why the change (i.e. scheduling conflict).

When in doubt, send the update - you never want us questioning why something changed.
