Seniors: How many apps have you submitted so far?

1 out of 10. I’m totally stress free. PennState’s is due November 30th however, so I should probably get on that…

@waitingforivy- yeah I’ve been doing them piece by piece since September and I decided to finish them last night.

2 out of 12 :)

I’ve submitted four apps, two were for my top schools and the other two were for schools that have a fast notification of admission.

4 out of 11! going to finish another one this week

3/3 because I got accepted to the one I want to go to already.

3/9.
Two were ea, the other had a very early scholarship deadline, and I still need to send in the scholarship app and test scores for that…
But the other 6 are RD with deadlines around January 1-15.
Application fees are killing me. I’m going to have to pay half on all my other 6, which cumulatively cost 350$ -_-

11 out of 13 are 100% done.

I just need to pay for one school, and for the other I need to click the submit button.

4 submitted, with 4 more on the way.

I submitted 9/15

One of them my ED school. Two being EA’s. Another two being Rolling…the rest RD.

2/??..

I’ll figure out how many others I’m applying to after I find out about the two EA schools.

1/12 LOL. The idea that i cant change my common app essay after submitting one application through the common app kills me so I’m basically just going over my essay until it is good enough for safeties and major reaches.

Neuroscience ^ You can create different versions of the CommonApp and then you can change your essay.

Also, I’ve submitted 2 (1 ED/1 EA) and I’ll be submitting 1 UC app soon. And then I won’t be applying until I hear back from the 2 early schools I applied to, and if I get accepted to the ED one then obviously I’ll be rescinding my applications and not applying anywhere else. If I get deferred/rejected from the ED school but accepted to the EA school I’ll be submitting 2 more applications to reaches, and if I get accepted/rejected from both I’ll be submitting probably about 3 more applications but to safety schools.

Wait, what? I thought the common app tells you not to alter your personal statement in any way for different colleges? mhm

Nope. You can make different versions. You read about it on the data suppression link I believe. Makes things a little better.

^they might advise you to do that for convenience, but you’re totally able to create multiple apps and edit your essays for schools you haven’t applied to yet. just check the faq on commonapp and it’ll tell you how to set up an alternate app :)

@neuroscience1234 - If you’re worried about that, just make application versions. Because of a research supplement and different school requirements, I have about 5 right now. A little confusing for the applicant, but not a big deal to them at all.

1/7, 4 supplements to go

Update: 11 out of 17 down, 6 to go before the holiday break

4 out of 6, and I’ve already gotten into 2 colleges.

The last 2 are common app!
