Seniors: Which year is harder: IB junior year or IB senior year?

The question is in the title. Just wondering!

Excellent question, as I am also the IB Programme. I’m a junior, though, so I can’t really answer your question…

I’m not doing IB, but if they’re comparable to APs, then I’d say that there really isn’t much of a difference. However, they might be harder to manage senior because of college apps and whatnot.

Senior year. Well, I can only speak for myself and friends, but definitely senior year. More IAs, TOK essay, Extended Essay, College Apps, Increased responsibility in extracurriculars, etc.

Junior year was harder. I have a lot more time this year to do ecs, college applications, and sleep. My biggest fear is that second semester I will go crazy from boredom. Pretty much the IAs, the EE, and the TOK essay are pretty much the only time intensive thing in senior year, and having done a few IAs I realized they aren’t too bad.

I like this question! Junior IB over here.

Eh. Both are pretty boring.

Senior year, simply because you have the EE, TOK stuff, and the majority of IAs and exams to do. Add in college apps and senioritis, and you’ve got a busy year.
