So recently I was accepted to one of my top choice schools which is awesome but was rejected by their honors program (which I was really excited about and believed I had a good shot at it). I sent my college representative from my state an email stating my disappointment. I noted how one of the factors of considering my "top choice college" was because of the class registration, etc. benefits of the honors system. I also added that the cost of attendance would be incredibly expensive and finished off with asking advice on my situation. Now that I think about it, I sound rather STUPID connecting the honors program with my choosing of a school. I sent the email yesterday and nothing has arrived today.

Do you think what I did was right or wrong? Helpful or regretful? Etc?

You can’t do anything at this point. Sending another email trying to clarify what you’ve already said will make things worse. Wait and see, and I doubt they can rescind your admission based on an “angry” email.

Just wait and see. And for what it’s worth, some applicants DO connect college and honors college when making their decision, so it wasn’t stupid.

I don’t think it seems stupid to connect admission to the honors college to your interest in the college. Many people apply to schools because of their honors programs.
