Oh, so it wasn’t an in person interview? You’re done with all your interviews and just waiting to hear if you got in or not?

Yeah, I live kinda awkwardly between all of the regional interviewing sites, so I went with the virtual. But yeah…now the waiting period…of around 2 months, maybe more. This should be fun!

I’m in the same boat as you, osu. Waiting to hear back from them. They did say there is a possibility of a follow up interview with the particular program manager.

My interview was highly situational (tell me about a time when…). I’m not the best at that type of question though, so I hope I did well enough.

I mean in any case, we don’t really have to worry about it anymore. Meaning we can no longer affect the outcome…so why worry? I like that it’s just the three of us going back and forth haha.

hey guys been lurking this thread for a while. i just had my first phone screen for ib. anyone know how long it takes for them to schedule you for your in-person? (assuming you did well on your phone screen)

Yeah it took a little over two weeks for me.

I got an email that day.

Guys and girls who’ve already had their in-person (well virtual in osu’s case) interview, how were the questions? Alot of technical questions?

P.S. I’m going for AM.

Mostly behavioral for me, but it may be different by internship.

I apologize for these next 3 posts.

I have to send them.

To enable my private messaging.

Hi guys, I’ve had 2 Skype interviews and I just got an email to sign up for another one. Did anyone have to do this? I thought it was supposed to be just one Skype interview and an in-person one

I think it varies by program, and even from person to person. There’s also a chance they made a mistake, but that seems less likely.

Hi All,

My in person interview was yesterday, and I mean I walked out of there and when I got outside, I cried so hard. It just went so bad for me. the interviewers were nice, and I felt like I was prepared, but the moment I was asked a questions I should have know, I went blank!!! argh!

I want to be optimist and just hope for the best, but to be honest with you. I am bummed that I didn’t do so well.

It was for AM for anyone concerned, and they asked me fit/case study questions.

So I got an e-mail from a recruiting manager today asking if I had time to speak over the phone in the next two days. I’m kind of excited now. Seems like a good sign.

I just got an email to schedule a follow-up email, which will be in early January! Like rcm said, it feels like more of a positive thing than a negative. Any updates in anyone else’s process?

So I talked with the guy. It was a follow up interview, but it was a good bit more technical this time as opposed to behavioral. He said they may or may not have us interview directly with the partner firms, but if not we’ll know the decisions some time in January.

Hello! Has no one applied for a consulting position through SEO? I guess that division must be rather small…I applied 1st round, went straight to in-person in NY, and now have a follow-up skype interview scheduled in a few days. Not sure what to expect for a consulting follow-up since it’s only for 20 minutes.

Hello. I also applied for Consulting and have an interview scheduled for late January. Congrats on getting a follow up to your in-person; that’s gotta be a good sign.

Any advice for my interview? I gotta say that it seems odd explaining “Why Consulting” when the consulting partners are so different from one another. I’m really only interested in like three options, and they are all pretty different. Were you at all able to mold your interview for the position you wanted? I fear that if I do that, I’d be shooting myself for the other consulting options.
