<p>mantori: Yes, that’s what I mean. And fake, and overpriced because of the student-driven local economy. There are colleges (Mount Holyoke comes to mind) that have created little retail “villages” that cater to students. I hope that Notre Dame’s current project is more of an extension of the city, or a bridge to the campus. It really shouldn’t feel isolated at any rate, because ND is certainly surrounded by commercial sprawl already.</p>
