This is going to make Bill O’Reilly’s head explode.

For some of you, this article should make it easier to wrap your head around it.

[Northwestern University defends after-class live sex demonstration - Chicago Sun-Times](http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/4099633-418/northwestern-university-defends-after-class-live-sex-demonstration.html)

“After the demonstration, several students tried a different sex toy that gave a titillating but not painful shock, testing it out on their…”

Everyone present, including the woman who participated, was over 18. It was not for credit, and was completely optional. The only thing I see wrong with this is that the woman did not go into it knowing what was going to happen, and it wasn’t planned. The fact that this wasn’t part of the original presentation is what makes it seem weird to me. Not wrong, just nothing I would stay for.
But just because I would never go to something like this doesn’t make it wrong at all.

Pfft you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. The final lecture, titled “Deconstructing Taboo: Late-Capitalist Sexuality in the Era of Postmodernity,” culminates in a class orgy.

and now northwestern’s applications will go up next cycle

^And I feel very fortunate to have applied this year.

Actually, I’m just wondering where they managed to find a girl that’s willing to do that for the class…

The girl wasn’t part of the NU community.

lol@American Squeamishness

Oh cmon eveyone is 18 and it was voluntary to show up so I see no foul here. But I know what class to sign up for next year!

I feel weird about how uncomfortable this makes me… I think it’s because I’m not normally a prude or anything, but I don’t feel that way because some students saw a sex act. I don’t like the instructor’s weird snobbishness or that it happened spur of the moment. I mean, yeah, everyone was a consenting adult, but I think it could have easily been more planned out or been a field trip to another location.

Also, this bothers me the same way that the intro anatomy class at my junior college gets three cadavers per semester. Anyone can take that class. It feels like an inappropriate use of resources.

just because you weren’t offended doesn’t mean other people aren’t going to give up their right to tell you that you should be offended.

after all, how dare the school give its students the OPTION to attend something like this. the students who CHOSE to attend don’t even know how offended they should be that they had to witness something like this.

I find this more disturbing in terms what she used. I sell those saws everyday at work. Lol I hope she bought the replacement plan.

Unless you’re going to be a sex therapist, what value could this class realistically have in getting a job? Why don’t you blame your KIDS for TAKING the class rather than the profs for teaching it?

What exactly did the students learn from this?!?!?!
I feel bad for the women who performed it…she obviously has no self-respect.

alright silly puritans, can you please read the article first?
everything was completely optional. this was after-class. the kids were warned of graphic content AND multiple warnings of sexual demonstrations. everything was completely optional. the students stayed behind voluntarily.
and ^
the woman who performed it wanted to. read the article. she has a “special interest” for public performance. the demonstration was supposed to give students an insight into fetishes

as do other people who volunteer to preform sexual acts behind closed doors in front of other people who volunteer to watch.

Romanigypsyeyes… I don’t think that’s a fair accusation. College students are supposed to be taking courses in obscure subjects to spark outside interests. I’m also sure that this demonstration was not included in the course description. I’m not completely against this demonstration, but it WAS at the professor’s discretion.

^ One, then don’t expect a class about sexuality to teach you how to get a job. Two, it was voluntary so who cares if it was in the course description?

So this after-school demonstration was voluntary and isn’t apart of the actual course as it was after class was over and was optional.
The fact that it was optional and not mandatory for students tells me this little demonstration wasn’t really necessary and was just there for entertainment purposes and not really academic. It was a free show after class. Watch a woman get off.
It’s really not that interesting.
Will the next after school special show anal sex? How about a dude masturbating. Eh whatever this whole thing seems silly. Seems like this school just wants attention.
