I feel sory. that baby's gonna be so retarded it's not even funny. Can anyone count how many times she probably dropped that baby in her home?

"i heard a study that said 74% of girls at UCSB have STD's but im not sure if thats accurate."

haha, I'm not sure if thats accurate either but holy **** thats hilarious.

"Sorry, but you're just flat out mis-informed. A condom will not protect against some of the most serious STD's (such as herpes and HPV)"

sorry, but you're just flat out exaggerating.

one -- you can transmit herpes when you have a herpes outbreak, which can happen even if you are on medication for it. you are told by any legit physician that when you have a herpes outbreak to avoid having sex. as far as i know, those diseases are transmitted on a skin to skin contact basis, so yes, if your outbreak is in a position that isn't covered by a condom, then you probably will get it... THUS if you are PROPERLY using a condom, some, but not all, transmissions will be blocked. the cdc is still conducting research as to why this is, but so far they seem to be saying that there is a correlation between decreased risk and proper/consistent condom use-- even with HPV which is the trickiest to understand its transmission rates.

Let's not bicker...let's just fight! Everyone grab a shotgun! We''re goin' to war! (ti Bluestar7)

bluestar7 - Have you ever seen a condom before? They don't cover the entire genital region... It's not like people get herpes directly on their *****, they get it on the surrounding areas.

And, by the way, you can spread herpes at anytime, outbreak or not.

"so i'm going to one of the top party schools in the nation...but we are the HARDEST to get into!!! any guesses??"

ok i couldve sworn she was talking about wisconsin... ucsb, hardest to get into.. joke??

But for all of you bickering about getting herpes, herpes isnt that bad just take the medicine and u can handle it. Sure you have the outbreaks but its not the flesh eating virus or anything.. psh herpes.. stop b-i-tching

myheartisinohio, did you ever have herpes? -- i've seen what it looks like and trust me even on medicine it is not pleasant -- here's why:

consider how much money you'll spend in your lifetime buying the pills, then consider the fact that these do have side effects and not everyone will swallow them with a happy face

virus adapts, so the pill you're taking one year might stop working the next -- this is the biggest problem with viral medication -- our current research efforts barely keep up with how fast viruses mutate

young people tend to not display symptoms very often -- so they think it is ok, not a problem -- it is when you get old and your immune system gets weaker that it begins to come out more and more often -- more and more sores appear with more and more pain -- if you ever get another disease that will suppress your immune system, say cancer, your herpes will come out with even more strength

there is always a social stigma -- anyone sees those sores and they'll think forever you're too dirty to have sex with -- for girls it is like additional periods: while you have sores, you have to deny yourself sex

if you care about other people, there is the constant need to think about others getting infected -- if you're having sex with someone clean, you have the moral obligation to never, ever have sex with them without a condom -- so despite the fact that you might really like someone, there will always be latex between you, which for guys is a big deal

if you infect someone and they'll learn about it, consider how mad with you that person will become

it can pass on to your children -- in a few cases it gives rare side effects and abnormalities in kids -- it can cause encephalitis (inflammation of brain) and skin lesions in babies

herpes is not a horrible flesh-eating disease, but it WILL decrease the quality of your life -- it will give you more pain and more troubles all life long -- but sure, you can handle more pain and more problems as it's not lethal

ill reiterate... psh herpes.. stop b-i-tching
