I hope I showed my passion for comp sci and will get in

Radd: You have so-so chances at Northwestern. GPA is a tad low and i dont know how youre getting a 45 for your IB exams (45/7= 6.42857143 exams). If you were american you would probably get in, but the international crowd is quite competitive. I think you will hold up well against the others

Esplin; you are a great applicant, but you are asian, and they will most likely label you as bland and among the other homogenous asians with similar stars. prove them wrong with great essays and an interview if you can. needless to say, do not write about being asian in your essay, theyve heard it all before

freefall: like esplin, you are a great candidate but as far as other asian applicants go, relatively lackluster. set yourself apart from the pack of uber math/sci asians and prove that you have personality with great essays etc.

25or6to4: solid stats, I would retake the SAT one more time for extra security (2250+), i would put it at a mid-reach for you because though you have an impeccable app, nothing really pops that much

oregonman983: Again, there are a lot of applicants like you (ie the three people posting before you). You have good stats for Berkeley and instate will help, so just cross your fingers. DO everything in your power to unstereotype yourself

SA-07 : Great stats, as usual MIT gets a lot of highly qualified applicants. Really milk your compsci talents for all their worth in essays. The only thing hurting you right now is that verbal score, read read read until your eyes bleed and get it 700+

it’s 42+3 (3 is for the EE and TOK essay/presentation)
Assuming I could get 95+ (I never really tried in high school, which is what hurt me the most) in all my subjects in my senior year (which is possible), would my chances go up or down?

oh sorry mnt, got confused by the two browns. points for geographic diversity and ec’s, nothing special or outstanding as far as grades and tests. the sub2200 sats are going to hurt. unless you totally rock out your IBs and get 38+/42, i would put this at a high reach im afraid
