Share your “new to you” ending out 2021 Holiday Season recipe

Yes, I’m tailoring the thread title so that I can post on this thread.

With the intent of crossing all holiday occasions Turkey Day through NY Eve, I thought it might be fun to share links or pics or descriptions of a something new you tried that will become a repeat recipe.

And I’m going to start with this great cookie recipe - new to us - that we made today and IT. IS. AMAZING. The brown butter frosting is truly unbelieveable on it’s own. I will remake this frosting for other recipes. The cookie is crisp. We could not find Heath Bits “bare” so had to use chocolate covered Heath bits. We also reduced the size of the cookie using a 1.5 inch cutter. They are a perfect 2 bite cookie.

If you can’t access the recipe, I’ll post the frosting portion of it. Chef’s kiss!!!

Our son’s GF made these puff pastry Brie Bites for Thanksgiving appetizers. They were so easy and really good. I’m not a big fan of cranberry sauce, but I could see how adaptable they were and made some with hot pepper bacon jam for DH’s bourbon-n-cigars circle. They were gone before the first cigar was lit and will be a staple for me going forward as I always have some form of these ingredients on hand.

(I’m getting to like the GF more and more…)

Looks yummy. Should definitely try them

It’d be great to post the whole recipe for the non NYT subscribers

For Christmas Dinner, I am trying my luck with this dessert from my Marley Spoon subscription box. I am a little nervous about it since I have seen many a Swiss Roll fail on Great British Baking…

Oops! I went and re-read the instructions. I am making it tomorrow for the first time. Hopefully, it will be good enough to repeat

Facebook showed me this recipe a couple weeks ago, I might never make gingerbread cookies with cookie cutters again (and, I have to say, my rolled-out gingerbread cookies are the bomb)! These are so good. I added a little cinnamon and clove.

I don’t like to automatically post subscription type content - and sometimes the recipe is open to all!

The recipe is long though really not complicated - did not feel like 10
Steps! Here are the ingredients. I can post the steps but it is several screenshots!!
