Sharp vs. Monroe multicultural floor vs. Wall

I'm an incoming freshman at Tulane, and couldn't be more excited for next year. Looking over housing options, though, I can't make a decision. I'm openly gay, and have heard that Wall has a large gay population, but every potential roommate I've talked to so far has shown zero interest in Wall. Also, I just found out about Monroe's multicultural floor, and am intrigued though I know nothing about it. If I choose not to apply for housing in Wall or Monroe, Sharp would be my first choice. I'm in honors, but haven't heard anything particularly compelling about Butler, so I'm not too interested in living there. I was hoping that someone could clear all this up, because I'm new and know so little about housing options; more information before I make my decision would be amazing.

Wall is definitely the most accepting of all, from the past years at least. Monroe Multicultural floor is new and OMA (office of Multicultural Affairs) and HRL (Housing and Residence Life) Graduate assistant Octavio is running the floor. He’s a great guy and I think you’ll have a great experience there as well. I am a sharp RA this year and going to be Wall RA the coming year. So I know about the living condition in both sharp and wall. Wall is much nicer and it feels way more like a community. We have a multicultural committee in wall, which I was a chair of this year. You’ll definitely find people accepting you and very involved in the community in Wall. If you want to know some openly gay upperclass man that will live in wall next year, let me know! I can get my friends to talk to you about it to let you decide.
