<p>Does the common application have only one essay this year and no short answer as the previous year's version? I cannot find where the short answer is, so I just want to make sure whether or not there is one.</p>

<p>That’s correct; the short answer essay is gone from the main common app. Many schools have added it back in by including it in their supps. Once you add your schools, look through your dashboard at the writing section for each school. That’s where you’ll find any additional essays required or optional for your schools.</p>
