Hi! This morning, I had my interview for the Cate school in California, and I’m slightly worried as it was only 30 minutes when they asked to set aside an hour for it. This probably means I’m not a great fit, which I kind of doubt since every time I answered the questions, she said, “excellent you, nailed that” or “wow, you know so much about cate.” Or I did well and, she knew after the 30 minutes that I was the right fit? Either way, I don’t want to overestimate myself as I hate thinking highly of myself without complete reassurance. I’m anxious about this part of the application since the rest of my essays, grades, etc. I’m confident in. Please give your honest opinion on my situation. I’m applying to other schools, and Cate is already really competitive, so I’m not expecting much.
You’re overthinking. 30 minutes is the standard length. A little more or a little less is fine as well. 2 hours does not equal guaranteed acceptance.

Each interviewer has their own style.
Don’t read too much into it.

Same here. My interview yesterday was supposed to be 30 min student + 15 min parents. However, the interviewer seemed just going over a list of questions one by one for less than 20 mins for me. And my parents did another 10 mins. No idea about what it meant.
Same answer as above
