I am planning on applying to university of chicago, notre dame, washington university in st.louis, and pomona college early action. I have a 32 ACT, a 4.26 cumulative gpa and a 4.0 unweighted. I have taken 5 ap classes in 10/11th grade and I am taking 5 my senior year. I also have around 175 community hours. If I do not apply early action my cumulative gpa will increase too 4.33. Is it worth applying early action? Do I have a good enough chance to get into these schools based on my current gpa and all?

Your a reasonable sounding candidate (really hard to tell without rank and ECs) at all based on stats, but not a shoo in at any. Applying to one early would help. I wouldn’t worry about a minor increase in GPA, but a couple of more points on the ACT would make you a much stronger contender at these schools. A 32 won’t keep you out if all else is stellar, but it won’t help.
