Should I apply ED?

I'm a URM, have and have held numerous leadership positions, including Student Council President this year. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA (am in the top 3 in my class) and my highest ACT score so far is a 32, though I may take it once more in September. I have received numerous academic awards, as well, also have a good amount of extracurriculars. I have gotten a 5 on the only AP exam open to juniors at my school (APUSH). I want to apply for financial aid, though, so would applying ED make this difficult?

letsbereal is vying for the “most snarky” string of posts award.

Too bad he/she is not overly concerned about the actual truth. LBR: note for you. A 32 composite is the 98th percentile. Buy a clue.

IRMajor: A 32 gets you in the door. Congrats. Obviously a higher score is better. But you have a shot. Good luck to you. Regardless, you’ll have some great options come next April.

T26E4, thank you :)

@IRMajor, I applied ED and financial aid was very generous (upper bracket household). Don’t let financial aid scare you away from ED.

Another ED here, financial aid was also generous for me. One thing you do miss going in early decision is those scholars programs… Which are kinda nifty if you get them. But I wouldn’t let that be a deal breaker since getting the letter several months early is the most relieving feeling in the world, lol.
