<p>I want to go into petroleum engineering and I have heard that Texas A&M is one of the better schools for it. I don't know if I should worry about getting into this college for my first 2 years or if University of Delaware (I am a Delaware resident) and then transferring to Texas A&M would work just as well.</p>

<p>If your motivation is to save money, then Delaware may be a better option. However, A&M accepts very few external transfers into Petroleum Engineering so if that’s your end goal, I don’t know if I’d chance it. Apply to A&M now, and go there if accepted.</p>
