Should I be Worried About Admission?

I REALLY want to Attend Auburn!! WARR EAGLE!!
My Freshman and Soph GPA’s were good untill this year (junior year) and right now my GPA is a 2.3 :frowning: I dk I started back studying really hard and concentrating on my tests and grades. I slacked off…yea…a lot…but now I’m deffinetly back on track! Do you think I can bring my GPA back ^ to a 3.2 or 3.3 by the end of my senior year?

GPA's
Freshman:3.4
Syphomore:3.2
Junior:Currently 2.3
Senior: Next Year (Probably 3.5)

Jr. year is extremely important to do well. Although Auburn is no Yale, I wouldn't want them seeing a backward trend like you have... Your grades have gotten worse by the year. Work hard for the rest of this year, get involved, and do well on the SAT's and you'll be fine.

Yea that's for sure true...but is it possible for me to like end ^ with a 3.4 or so by my senior year? Im sure it will be hard but how hard do you think?

And say I made a 23 on my ACT...

I have taken the only 2 courses that my school offers above the CP level (both AP English), have a 3.96 GPA unweighted, don't know what it is weighted, my class rank is 3 out of 14 in a rural public school, and got a 33 on my ACT. My SAT, which I was only able to take once, was only a 1300. I still plan on taking my SAT IIs. Being out of state, should I get in, and if i do, what kind of financial aid could i be looking at (need a lot!)?

1960 on SAT, not 1300

bmanbs2, you will definitely get into auburn. It's not that difficult. I got full tuition scholarship with only a 32 ACT, but I am in-state.

Yeah, your 32 is very high for AU. You will definitely get in.

I think a 23 is on the lower-middle end of Auburn's ACT spectrum.

I don't know how GPA is looked at, but although the backward trend in your grades isn't good, I think they'll be looking at the overall GPA.

I know a girl who doesn't have a good GPA or a good ACT score (16-17-ish?) and she hasn't gotten in yet. The bad thing about this is that her dad contributes a lot of money to AU and his campus bookstores are an AU staple (he's like a local celebrity of sorts) and he's not so happy about this.

Well here I just took the ACT AND I MADE A 26 AND MY GPA NOW IS A 2.8 (A WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN A 2.3) SO yes my GPA after this year will DEFINETLY BE AROUND A 3.2 soo thanks!!

But I'm still going to keep taking the ACT to get my grade up on it I expect a 29-30ish before graduation!!
I'LL BE SEEING YOU ALL AT AUBURN IN FALL OF 07' :)
