should I become a pharmacist

Hi,
I would like to become a pharmacist because I love math and I like chemistry, but upon researching I have found that there is a surplus of pharmacists and a lot of the forms I read say that many are unable to find jobs and I stressed out cause if I do become a pharmacist thats like 6-8 years of school and lots of debt and if I cant find a job how am I suppose to pay it all off. Any thoughts? It is even worth it to become a pharmacist? I live in Illinois in the Chicago area and am a senior in high school.

You don’t have to commit to this career just yet. I know that a lot of students want to save time by applying to programs with guaranteed admit to the pharmacy school, but you could just apply to college now, take the courses needed to apply to pharmacy school, and decide later on. In fact you wouldn’t have to decide yes or no about that until you have finished college!

look at the job outlook handbook https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/pharmacists.htm
