Should I bother applying?

I recently realized I did not give my counselor an official transcript for Notre Dame, so the earliest she can mail her counselor packet is January 5th.

However, my teacher sent in her rec letter on time and I plan to submit the rest of my application (SAT scores, essays, application fee) on time as well.

I noticed that the site says Notre Dame, "will begin to notify those students who are missing a portion of their applications beginning in mid- February...If [they] receive the missing portions of your application in a timely manner, the evaluation of your application will not be negatively affected."

Do you think I can slide past with that?

Thanks for your help.

Don’t worry. Submit your application. I was missing most of my application (recommendations and transcript) until late January, and I still got accepted.

Yes, I know someone who actually did not apply until January 4th (i.e. sent nothing in until then) and was accepted.
