<p>My dad, aunt, and 3 cousins attended Cornell University. However, only my dad is mentioned through my common app. Should I casually mention the others in my supplement essay? I grew up visiting the school numerous times and heard stories from all of them. It kind of pushed my motivation and set a goal for me.</p>
<p>If you can build it into your supplemental, by all means, go for it. Also, see if your guidance counselor would be willing to “customize” your letter for Cornell - maybe s/he can also include something.</p>
