I was recently rejected from one school and waitlisted at the other. I keep hearing that it would be better to notify the school I was waitlisted at and let them know of my desire to attend that school. If anybody can help me out and tell me a way to help my chances it would be GREATLY appreciated.

P.S. If you've been waitlisted and did something long these lines, PLEASE LEAVE A POST.

sorry for lack of clarification... Should I write to the admissions, if so, what should I include for them to think I really want to go to their school

Talk about the programs, what attracted you to the school, what your interests are, that if you got in you would def go, etc

No harm in doing it, and if you have anything new-awards, upswing in grades, etc, tell them that.

Has anybody done what I am talking about and had it work? Please leave a post if so.

I think the key here is to remember that it couldn't hurt any. If anything, you'll obviously be showing your continued interest in the college.

ditto ^^^^

There is a story floating around here about a girl who got off the waitlist at Yale by camping out in front of the admissions office, but I wouldn't go that far.
