Should I drop this college course and go to minimum units?

I’ve been testing out Econ 4 (intro to accounting) at ucsd, currently have 16 units total, and frustrated about the style of this class. It’s very exam heavy and only based on 1 quiz, midterm and final. I did pretty bad on the quiz (50%) and it’s worth 10% of our grade. The midterm is coming up and this Friday is the last day to drop classes without a record. The professor is very hard to follow and he jumps around a lot in his reader he wrote himself which is very confusing as well, and he has pretty bad reviews (6/10) on capes. I’ve tried office hours with TAs. If I dropped this class I would have 12 units which is minimum for full time. It’s my first quarter of college and I’m usually an overachiever so I feel like 12 units isn’t enough even though it probably won’t matter in the long run. I really hope I can get some advice on this. Should I just take it easy and take 3 courses or though it out (but I might feel worse if I fail the midterm)? Thanks
