Should I even apply to colleges..or just stick with community?

I am currently a high school junior that did pretty well freshman year, but had a rough sophomore year. I've managed to maintain decent grades since then; however, math is not my strong point and I've struggled to maintain a C average. My stats are below and I'm just trying to figure out if it is even worth it for me to apply to schools (~$70 per application) or just go to community and transfer. Also, I really love fashion and doing makeup and hair, so a trade school and/or college may be an option, as well. If anyone could offer help regarding making myself more appealing to colleges (adding more classes/ different classes/ etc.) or what scores (SAT/ACT) would be ideal for my target colleges, that would be appreciated. I would really love the help!

Goal Schools (Please feel free to comment with other suggestions, too!) Also, these are in no apparent order. I'm interested in attending schools in California (home state), the Northeast, Washington State, Colorado, or anywhere in Europe.

What colleges in my desired locations are somewhat matches with these disappointing stats? Or is it better just to go to community and/or a trade school? Help me please!!

I’m positive that some state universities will accept you. Don’t look down, that’s something that will keep you away from your goals.

Thank you, I really appreciate it!

Try your best senior year. No, you can still apply to CSU or whatever state universities you want. Don’t say your grades are “disappointing.” Although they aren’t IvyLeague material, they aren’t the worst. I have a friend with almost similar stats in SDSU! So keep trying! Good luck!

Okay thank you very much! Do you think you could chance me with some of the colleges I posted above, so I have a better idea?

UCLA: Aim for 2100+/31+

Long Beach State: Aim for 1950+/28+

San Francisco State: Safety

San Marcos State: Low match

San Diego State: Aim for 1900+/27+

Boston University: Aim for 2000+/29+

NYU: Aim for 2100+/31+

UCI: Aim for 1950+/28+

Seattle Pacific University: Low match

CU-Boulder: Low match

Northeastern: Aim for 2000+/29+

Northwestern: Reach

FIT: Match (SAT doesn’t hold much weight)

FIDM: Low match (portfolio pending)

MUUD: (what exactly is MUUD?)

Harvey Mudd: Reach

Thank you! Would it be better to focus on the SAT or ACT?

MUUD is a trade school or basically a “certification” for makeup artists with virtually no requirements, so if I were to pursue that I would most likely go there for a gap year and then go to a college and major in business or journalism.

Most schools i’ve seen “officially” have no preference between SAT and ACT. I could be completely wrong, but, from what I’ve seen and heard, a good SAT score is weighted higher than a high ACT score in many college’s eyes.
