As you can see, my ECs are mostly fluff. I'm trying to emphasize the more legitimate ECs in my app (ie historical research for a film my film society is producing, skateboarding club, etc)

So what?

Yes, it is worth the sixty bucks. You have quite a few Ecs, but unfortunately, they're too diversifyed. If I were you, I would focus on a couple important ones, special olympics and stuff. Nevertheless, your chance RD is only average at best. Write a couple of good essays and you do have a decend shot.

departmental awards are hardly impressive, many applicants get them, so i wouldnt put those, then again, i'd recommend you not even apply, i would bet you fifty dollars you wouldnt get in, nothing really makes you stand out...

Dude, I dunno what you're worried about. You've got as good a chance as anybody. You should definitely apply and see what happens.

what the fho?

Hey guys thanks for the input.

terrible ec's for harvard

"terrible ec's for harvard"

He doesn't have incredible ECs, but statements like this make me think you people are a bit insane.

Actually, I like his ECs (specifically the Skateboard Club because it is unique). But, I do agree that they are a bit too diversified with no specific "field" of interest. For the 7(I think... I forgot) lines on the common app there should be 2 or 3 in a concentration (music, science, arts, other academics, community service) and the rest a bit diversified to show well roundedness. This gives the impression that he is multifaceted while being able to identify his true interests.

Do you guys think my ECs will look more "concentrated" if I consolidate my list and stress the important stuff?

runningcircles....at a party?.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH....yeah right, you've posted more than i have and you're faggishly calling me the troll?...dude you cant make fun of people who spend a ****load of time on the net when you do yourself...p.s. i have mono if you didnt get the other post, so im confined to the house for the next few weeks...faggot

Yeah, I'm a fag. So? I don't believe you have mono. As I said, who would kiss you, share a drink with you, etc. with your personality?

thank you mrsandman

yeah, The_Who, let's get this ***** on his lame cutdowns

you already used that one in the other post runningcirlces, seriously, run off to that dungeons and dragons tournament you call a party

he is back. come join.

come on runningcircles, we wont bite...much

runningcircles, get in here buddy...i want to have a nice, civilized discussion with you about how gay you are....come on little guy

to the OP, no, don't waste any of your time applying, you have a horrible chance and are just wasting 65 dollars

dude, you have 65 bucks to lose and harvard to gain (i stole that from someone here, but i cant remember who) i would apply. wow i cant belive you can have to many ecs! i would apply anyways, also apply to other ivies, harvard might say no, but yale might say yes. good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys.
