Should I even bother applying to graduate school?

Hey all. I'm a year away from graduating with a BA in Psychology. I go to a very expensive, private college so I've had to work multiple jobs since my Freshman year. I've also been dealing with a serious medical condition (Lupus). I'm really not looking for sympathy at all. It's the card I've been dealt and I agree that I should have tried harder in school. Currently, I have a 2.8 and I think I can pull it up to a 3.0 before graduation.

Ideally, I would like to be a licensed psychologist with a specialization in Forensics so I can work with the prison population. I would like to obtain a Clinical PsyD with a concentration in Forensics. I have been looking at several programs and the GPA requirement is extremely high. I decided to take it down a notch and try to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor by getting an MA in Psychology with a Forensics concentration however, the only programs I am eligible for either 1) do not offer financial aid, and 2) are not APA accredited.

I feel really defeated right now. I come from a very poor family and I know I'm not the most intelligent person in the room but I really want to make something of myself. Should I bother applying for graduate programs? If so, which do you recommend? If not, what other career paths could I take?
