Should I even bother looking at Trinity College Dublin?

(I wasn't really sure what topic to put this under, so I'm sorry if it ends up in the wrong place.)

The idea of applying to an international university is new to me. I just started to consider going abroad for college to be an option. I was in Dublin this past spring and absolutely fell in love with the city. Because I was on a trip with a class from school, we visited Trinity College. I loved the atmosphere of the college and the city, and honestly felt like I was supposed to live in Dublin at some point in my life.

I was just messing around on the internet and ended up on Trinity's website looking at their admission requirements for international students, and I am just wondering if it is even worth me paying the application fee.

I have a 97.31/100 GPA weighted (my school doesn't even convert it to the 4.0 scale), and I am 18th in a class of 243. Both of those rankings will be going up though by the end of this semester.

I have an SAT of 1840 (CR: 610, M:550, W: 680). That should also go up to around a 2100 when I retake it this October. My practice test scores have been consistently around that figure.

I have taken four AP exams with one 5 and three 4s. I am taking five other AP courses this school year.

Should I apply after I take my SAT? I think I would be applying for Trinity's Ancient History and Archaeology course paired with History.

Would it be worth my time and money to apply? If my scores raise to my liking, or even a little below that, would Trinity College Dublin possibly be an option for me?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I live in the UK and the one thing you should be aware of is that Irish and British universities only consider your exam results and overall GPA. They do not consider ECs. Jobs and internships will be considered but only if they are directly related to your course. The other reality is that there is no such thing as “holisitc” admission. Trinity requires a minimum SAT of 1950. If you get a 1940, you will be automatically rejected. Sad, but true.
