Okay. So I took the SAT today, and i noticed that on my answer doc some of the imprints of marks I made transferred through the paper. They were really faint marks though, so I'm not sure how much it will affect the scanning. Does anybody know how that affects scanning?Should I request hand verification?

i thought the same thing when it happened to me.
But i realized that they arnt marks that seeked in through the paper, rather marks created by the page opposite the page with the marks.
I just erased them. I would call and find out if i were you.
I hope everything works out for you bro.

yeah that’s what i meant. that they press through. damn i’m so scared omg

Its completely fine. The machines that grade them are made to handle this.

You’ll be fine. I assume you mean that you marked answers darkly so that you could see them faintly on the other side. I thought this would screw up my answers when I took the Oct. 9 SAT but the imprints didn’t (and I had around 10) affect my score.

I looked through and some of the marks on the other side of the page were about half as dark as my answer bubbles. It’s happened before, so I’m not too worried. Also, if this really DOES screw up your scores, hand-verifying will find this, change your scores, and refund your money.

Hey did you end up hand scoring? I had the same issue, and I was wondering if your scores went up
