Urgent! Your help is immensely needed and immeasurably helpful! I am currently in a battle of trying to decide which schools to go to- University or Community College. I am in dire need for your input and I’m fearful of the days, even very few hours, left to make a decision.
Here is the thing, I have over 95 some credits at the Community college and ASU will NOT be accepting anymore of my credits (they only accepted 48 out of those credits). I achieved two associates degree. I was an honor student. I have been offered many great scholarships in the past, however I have always been hesitant to go to a huge university. I am someone who absolutely cannot handle changes.
I am an EE major, and I know a lot of my classes will stem from a class I took at the community college a year ago. Even though I received an amazing grade and took the honors portion of this course, I forgot all about the class (circuits 1), would it be necessary to stay at the community college to retake this class to review the material? FYI, getting A’s have been ingrained into my head, and I become very depressed if I get anything under an A… I was raised by brown parents. But now that I am in college, it is just hard to accept anything under an A. If I decide to go to a community college- I will be retaking that circuits class and I will be taking an elementary linear algebra because I will need to take applied linear algebra when I go to the university. What would you do in my position? Would you stay at the community college to take these classes with my current amount of credits and experience before the university. Keep in mind, elementary linear algebra (community college) is easier than applied linear algebra (University).
I have made a schedule as to when I would be graduating if I went to the university now vs if I were to wait a semester. If I go to the community college, I will be teaching myself the classes I will be taking when I go to the ASU. I have found some good resources to be able to self-teach myself the following courses (EEE 203 and EEE 241). If I teach myself, then I can take 17 credits the first semester at the university for fall of 2018, or I can take 13 credits this coming spring 2018 (in less than a week) and forget about the whole community college. Regardless, I will be graduating with my BS at the same time.
The following charts illustrate my path to graduating if I were to wait another semester at the community college vs going into the university.

Also, as of right now, I no longer have any scholarships opportunity, meaning I am broke. ASU charges a leg for parking and I don’t have the cash for it.
Also ASU is much further than the community college, I am not familiar with the area at all. I am someone who usually goes late to school a lot, so I will be super late to school going to the university (because of my family and work schedule). Being super late causes me to care less about the class and stay on my phone or space out. I am someone who feels like if the instructor does not like me, I do not like the class. This will affect my learning and grade.
There is a scholarship I want to apply for, however it is for incoming students who are transferring to the university fall 2018. My friend, who is in that program, told me she would help me out during the interview process. I am not sure how likely I am to get that scholarship, but she told me a lot of people are in that program. The downside is that I would have to wait a semester before going into the university (meaning I would have to wait at the community college another semester).I have a fear of becoming a sheep to student loans. I am working a minimum wage job and the majority of the cash goes to my bills or helping my family out with the house. If I stay at the community college I do not have to pay simply because honors will reimburse me. If I get this transfer scholarship for the university I do not have to fear about being financially crippled. This all begs the question, is wasting a semester worth having a CHANCE to earn a scholarship?
Lastly, it is very hard to see my boyfriend. I enjoy hanging out with him a lot, and if I go to the community college, I would have more time with him.
Should I stick the community college, or should I shut up and take the beating of the university? Your opinions are well appreciated.
