“CAAAN offers interested students the opportunity to have a one-on-one informational discussion with a local alum to provide a personal connection to Cornell and to answer questions about student and academic life. Although this meeting is not an interview and is not part of the formal application process, the alum who meets with you will send a report to the admissions office that summarizes your conversation. You will have the opportunity to share additional information that you were not able to include in your Cornell application.”
Got this email, the consensus on other forums on this topic was that getting this interview or not doesn’t affect chances, but my question is will not going affect my chances negatively?
I don’t really want to go because If i get into cornell I won’t not go because i don’t like the campus or professors etc. If I’m accepted, I’ll go.don’t see a reason to learn more about the school really. I just want to know how not going will affect application
