Should I go to UC Davis?

I’ve been accepted into uc Davis as a freshman. My accepted major is chemistry but I would like to do their “applied chemical sciences with forensic chemistry emphasis.” There isn’t alot of information out there on the program that’s they have. I want to pursue a career as a forensic chemist and work for the FBI. Do you know about this program at all? CSUEB also has a program similar to this but it seems like they have graduates working in the field. Perhaps UCD graduates also work in the field but maybe it’s not known?

I was considering going to CSUEB since it seems like a funnier environment but UCD sounds like a better school academically. Also what does the degree name “applied chemical sciences” have different than the regular science degrees? .

I cannot comment on that specific major, but UCD is amazing in most sciences. A friend and top student at my community college transferred there and loves it do far. I grew up in Davis so can say that the city itself is a little slow paced but full of charm. There are still several hangouts and the city is definitely college-student friendly. UCD’s name recognition and prestige is much higher than csueb’s also…but maybe not in your specific program?
