Well, I have to refer to my dd’s record. She got into EVERY grad school that she applied to: UW, USC, UCSF, UCSD, UC Denver, Houston. She was well-prepared and had extensive experience in clinics and labs. Why does the prestige matter?

As far as rankings go…UCD and UCSD are both ranked #44 by US News National Universities Ranking of 2017.

I’ve been having a hard time choosing between the two as well. Personally, I think I’m going to choose UC Davis solely because of their Bio program and that I heard UCSD really doesn’t have a social life, something that is important to me because I hope to join a sorority and have fun in college. I’ll be visiting Davis on April 1st though so hopefully that will help me.
