Hi, I was accepted to University of Delaware chemical engineering with a $32,000 scholarship. I am deciding between UD and UCONN. I seem to like the feel of uconn but delaware has a better program and i received a scholarship. Where should I go? Also, is it true that UD chemical engineering has a very low graduation rate?
did you get $8k per year or $32 per year
Some slightly old comments on this thread but might still be helpful for you.

Chemical processing engineers need to be near chemical plants. UD is in the Delaware Valley and that is a good region for jobs. What does Connecticut have going on? The market is very difficult this year. I keep pointing my young friend toward the Gulf Coast to find an entry-level chem eng job.
Another point of view – I recall some years ago that 1/3 of chem engs went into medicine, 1/3 went into management consulting and 1/3 went into chemical processing. So location may not matter to you.
Did the OP thoroughly investigate U of Delaware before applying. Does the OP realize that UD is one of the top ChE departments IN THE WORLD?
