Should I have told UChicago about Presidential Scholars?

I was notified in January that I qualified for the Presidential Scholars program in my state. I didn’t think this was something to tell schools about, or that it was that important in their eyes, because they already know my SAT scores, and all that qualifying really means is that I got a high score.

Is it too late? Is it something to worry about?

I mean it’s literally too late because decisions are in a few days, but I feel you. I too never let them know but as you said they should already know because of your SAT scores.

D was in the same position and her college counselor advised against it because her SAT scores (2400) made it redundant.

@JPinkman so we’re in the same boat?

@uesmomof2 sounds good. Glad to know I didn’t mess up.

yeah, we’re in the same boat (and hopefully we meet in harbor in a few months)

@JPinkman

Same! Obviously I’d choose getting into college, hopefully UChicago, over being selected as a Presidential scholar, but that week would seriously be one of the best of my life. I’d love to meet the president and visit the White House.

Then hopefully we meet twice! One in DC and the other in Illinois :slight_smile:
