I applied to my first choice The University of Alabama on Wednesday. I know Alabama requires a 3.0 Gpa and a combined reading and math SAT score of 1000. I have a 3.25 gpa and a combined reading and math score of 1100. I spoke with an admissions advisor from Alabama who greatly influenced my decision to apply when I did. I was planning to wait until after I took the October SAT to apply to see if I could raise my SAT score. Now that I've applied I am greatly concerned that I've made a mistake and my scores and gpa are not high enough above the requirements. I've taken 7 ap classes and received a's and b's in those classes and also took a foreign language all 4 years of highschool. Will the rigor of my classes be taken into consideration and make up for my average 87 gpa? I really would love to attend Alabama and am so anxious to find out. Am I stressing myself out or have I made a mistake?
