Should i look at graduate housing?

I am a Junior Transfer student, age 20 so I am elligible for Graduate housing options. I am an Aviation student.

I dont know if I am being too picky but I have a few things I would like: I dont want a all freshman party, forget academics and drop out of college sort of dorm. Id like one where I can at least get a few hours of sleep (one with like "quite hours" thats moderately enforced?). However, I am afraid that with the graduate housing I will have NO social life, and I am looking to make friends, have fun and enjoy my 2 years at UofI.

Any recomendations for that? I know Private Certified Housing is an option and I have looked at that too.

Oh and Id like one near the Air Bus stops which puts the Fl Ave and Penn. Ave ones out although if I have to walk, I have to walk.

Thanks!

Also: Does anyone know anything about the Transfer Cluster in Hopkins?

bumpity bump

I was in the same position as u last year. I stayed at Sherman. It is pretty quite, they are supposed to be adding a weight room by next academic year. Also it depends on the type of person you are to make friends/have a social life etc... Graduate dorms have stuff happening all the time. Again it depends on your personality, theres tons to do outside of dorms, I assure you u wont be just sitting in your dorm. The only beef I had was with room sizes and people being to themselves so your going to have to go out of your way to make friends.
I suggest daniels hall but i think theres a wait list.
Good luck with watever u decide p.s. Sherman is the cheapest!

I ended up applying for regular under graduate housing. I applied to ISR first and my back up is the transfer cluster.
