Please advise as to whether I should report both my ACT and SAT scores. Here are my numbers:

SAT: math 710, reading 690, writing 620
ACT: composite 33, english 33, math 33, reading 33, science 33, writing (score not in yet)

Should I only report my ACT scores to the colleges I am applying to?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you may have for me.

That depends. Did the college specifically ask you to send in all scores? If so, send them all in. A single SAT score will not kill your application, especially if your ACT is much better. I asked this same question a few months ago and got some pretty matter-of-fact answers, including “It’s as simple as following instructions or not following them just because you can.” Seriously. IT WON’T DECIDE WHETHER YOU GET ACCEPTED OR NOT. If they don’t ask for them all, then by all means, just send in your best (ACT). I presume that when colleges say they want all, they just want to see your trend, to see if you’re improving. Also, many people do better on one or the other, so they want to have all the scores so they can actually see for themselves.

Unless the college specifically asks for all your test scores, I would only send the ACT, because it’s significantly better than your SAT.
