Okay, so I am a rising junior and I was wondering if I should put that i run an essay-writing and editing business on my college applications. It generates thousands of dollars a year, but will colleges think that this service is unethical because I am writing other people's essays? Thanks in advance for any replies

Yes, they will think that it’s unethical.
Maybe you should be worried about the morality of what you’re doing more than how colleges will react to seeing it on your app.

The reason that i was asking was because it is an established business, complete with a website. Also, it is legal under law but I don’t know if that really makes a difference lol

Plagiarism is a serious ethical issues in college.
Even if you (or the writers in your business) consent to having your work plagiarized by a consumer, it’s still plagiarism.

OMG. NO!

this is highly unethical. i hope none of your “clients” are turning in those essays because that is plagiarism; doesn’t matter if they paid for it. It’s cheating and can get them and you expelled.

Definitely do not put that on your application. Whatever theoretical advantage you gain from displaying your entrepreneurial skills is more than overshadowed by the bad judgement of facilitating plagiarism/cheating. This will not be something that colleges look favorably upon.

this is a ■■■■■, right?
